Twitter Roundup: Casablanca

H@ppy Friday. Tomorrow, January 23, marks the 67 year anniversary for the romantic drama classic Casablanca. This is a true staple cinematic history, starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid . Casablanca went on to win three Oscars including Best Picture and has been praised with high-regard for its screenplay, cinematography, music, and dialogues. While some fans know the film by heart, it is said that the Casablanca actors did not know how the film was going to end until the last day of shooting.  Love and life, twists and turns-this is the real deal! As an iconic work of cinema, it pops up everywhere. And of course, Casablanca lives on through its memorable quotes. Our favorites are “Here’s to looking at you, kid”  and “Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine”.Here are the Twitter roundups, Casablanca style

I should cue this one on Netflix ...

Or better yet, stop by a local video store! (Are they still called "video stores" these days? haha)
I haven't seen this one in ages! Come to think of it, I've seen it twice; the first time, I saw the end, and the second time I saw the beginning! Not a way to watch a movie.

It's funny to me how this movie couldn't exist in this time and age. Getting on a plane doesn't end contact anymore! Grant could get off and text his love from where ever he was if this story took place now.

Oh, romance ...

Happy birthday Casablanca!

This movie was indeed a classic. It has been a household name for a long time and provides an incentive to keep thinking about old films. I think they have influenced the modern film industry immensely.

Wow-I haven't seen Casablanca

Wow-I haven't seen Casablanca in such a long time. Thanks for bringing it back into the scene! I like the quote:
